The line combines fashion-forward pieces influenced by the
International designer market with innovative separates that will easily become fashion
essentials. The line encompasses “special occasion” dresses, “dressed-up” sportswear,
luxurious knits and a collection of embellished sweaters.
Pirouette has a fresh look, pioneered by noted contemporary designer Melissa McElrath.
The design of the Pirouette line takes on a decidedly “new” tone. Additionally, Pirouette
is designed and merchandised specifically for the tween market by Lydia Badr, an
industry maverick of Los Angeles young contemporary market. Her vision combines the
need for fashion freshness with market salability.
Pirouette is a division of Evy of California, in business of over 5 decades with a
substantial history and excellent reputation.. Sales are handled by Roseanne at the
Rosegarden in New York, Barbara Towery in Dallas, Steve Becker in the Southeast, and
Bill Kahn in Los Angeles all leaders in their fields.
Pirouette introduces a fresh fashion edge rarely seen in the children’s market. We
understand the need for innovative fashion, utilizing unique styling and exceptional
fabrications. We look forward to an exciting future in the Tween market and look to

In its first season, Pirouette is in partnership with retail leaders, Neiman Marcus, Saks,

Pirouette is currently shipping spring ’07 and is working furiously on development
of the Fall/Holiday collection to be shown at the upcoming ENK CHILDRENS show.
