Los Angeles, California (January 23, 2007) - Julou Inc. introduced their debut collection of high end maternity clothing at the Mom2B Show in Los Angeles, January 23rd & 24th. Julou’s launch date was set to coincide with the Mom2B Show. “This is an exciting time for the industry – the needs of pregnant women are being brought to the forefront and we feel that this show provides the perfect venue to launch our line” commented Lisa Neufeld, founder of Julou.

Lisa was inspired to develop a maternity line after having children of her own. “I was distressed by the transition from my regular clothing to maternity and what little was available to me.” said Lisa. “A woman shouldn’t have to sacrifice her personal style at a time when she should be feeling more beautiful then ever.” The name, Julou, comes from the women who have inspired her most in her life. “It’s a combination of my mother’s name and my paternal grandmother’s name,” says Lisa.

Lisa’s partner in this venture, Amy Rebodos, had the same experience throughout her three pregnancies and together the friends set out to design a fashion forward maternity line. “Julou clothing offers a seamless transition from your regular clothing to maternity,” explains Amy. “We’ve used the styles and trends that women are embracing and adapted it to maternity wear. We paid particular attention to the cut and shape of our pieces so they hug your curves in all the right places, while giving you room to grow in comfort and style.”

The line offers versatile and stylish everyday clothing like cotton wrap tops, stretch kimonos, shorts and capris. Several pieces, like Julou’s eyelet tunic and Grecian strapless, can function as a top or dress. “Versatile solutions like these allow a woman to get the most from her maternity wardrobe,” Amy offers.

But the pair is the most excited about their signature pieces - the silk kimono and embroidered strapless dress. “We used stunning fabric with these pieces, the silk charmeuse kimono comes in beautiful soft champagne and an incredible turquoise with embroidered Indian silk doupioni detailing,” Lisa comments. “Our chocolate, strapless dress features arts and crafts embroidery that makes this a very special piece any woman would love to wear.”
